How to Find Us
Foxglove Covert LNR is four miles from the A1(M) in Catterick Garrison near Richmond, North Yorkshire. The reserve is situated between the Catterick Training Area and Cambrai Lines, Munster Barracks.
Our Entrance Has Changed
Entry to the reserve is no longer via Cambrai Lines. The new entrance is accessible from Waithwith Road and does not require visitors to enter the reserve through Cambrai Lines or any other barracks. No photographic ID is required to enter the reserve.
Directions
The new entrance to Foxglove Covert LNR is just off Waithwith Road. Waithwith Road can be accessed from the C road C107 (also known as the upper tank road), which runs between Brokes and the A6108. When driving along C107, look out for the tourist signs for Foxglove Covert which mark the turn offs to Waithwith Road. There are two turn offs to Waithwith Road in close succession; either can be used.
Using the reserve postcode DL9 3PX with sat navs and map apps generates routes which are not publicly accessible. We recommend dropping a pin at the turn off from C107 to Waithwith Road, then continuing on Waithwith Road to the Foxglove Covert access track.
Follow Waithwith Road until you reach a sign marking the right hand turn onto the Foxglove Covert access track. Turn right over the cattle grid onto the track and follow it until you reach the car park at the end of the track. It is a short walk from the main car park to the Foxglove Covert entrance. The reserve is pedestrian access only; no cars or bikes may enter.

Be Aware
This route runs alongside the Catterick Training Area; military personnel and vehicles may also be using Waithwith Road. Sheep are often kept on the training area and may wander on to the road. Drive slowly and close the gates when entering Foxglove Covert so that sheep do not get onto the reserve.
