By joining the Friends of Foxglove scheme, you are contributing directly to on-going work of the reserve.
Friends of Foxglove Covert park in the reserve for free and receive selected discounts on events at the reserve. Friends also recieve email copies of the reserve newsletter, Undergrowth, and annual updates on the success of the small bird boxes on the reserve.
Friends of Foxglove Covert are core supporters of the reserve, contributing directly to conservation projects which could not continue without this generous support.
The Friends Group was started in August 2004 as a way of involving people in the work of the reserve. Much of the effort to maintain wildlife habitats and operate the Field Centre is carried out by volunteers who are the mainstay of the reserve. This work is largely funded by voluntary donations and could not continue without the generous contributions supporters like the Friends of Foxglove Covert.
Friends renewals are due on 1st January each year.
The reserve is temporarily closed with limited access due to a fault with the reserve access gate. Work is ongoing to create an alternative entrance which will reduce disruptions to access caused by the gate.
Some access for pre-arranged groups and events is going ahead.
